Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

We collect information in the following categories:

• Account information: identifiers, email address, profile name, image, and sign-in details supplied through Clerk.
• Learning information: playlist selections, problem views, attempts, submissions, hints, active solving time, progress, trivia activity, and mastery estimates.
• Preferences: profile visibility, analytics choices, marketing choice, and records of Terms and Privacy acceptance.
• Technical information: request identifiers, device/browser information, IP-derived security signals, diagnostic logs, and abuse-prevention records.

2. How we use information

We use information to operate and secure RayCode, authenticate accounts, save progress, calculate mastery, recommend practice, provide support, prevent abuse, understand product performance when permitted, and meet legal obligations.

3. Marketing and service messages

Marketing email is optional. If you opt in, we may send product announcements, learning tips, research invitations, or offers. You can withdraw that choice in Account settings or through an unsubscribe link. We may still send essential account, security, recovery, privacy, or service notices.

4. When we share information

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with:

• service providers that support authentication, hosting, databases, monitoring, analytics, and email delivery;
• authorities or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users, or defend RayCode; and
• a successor in a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale, subject to appropriate notice and safeguards.

LeetCode is an external service. Opening a source problem sends you to LeetCode, where its own terms and privacy practices apply. RayCode is not affiliated with or endorsed by LeetCode.

5. Retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the uses described here, including security, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. We use access controls, encryption in transit, data minimization, monitoring, backups, and other reasonable safeguards. No system can guarantee absolute security.

6. Your choices and rights

Account settings let you change visibility and consent choices, download an account export, and delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain uses of personal information, or appeal a response. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

7. Children

RayCode is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.

8. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as RayCode changes. We will post the revised version and effective date and provide additional notice when required. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to privacy@raycode.app.
